| Wolfe Jr Gambles at Sin City, Saves 8 Laps of Fuel For Win |
|
Sim Pro Racing kicked it old skool Wednesday night. Drivers towed there 1988 race cars to Sin City, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and got ready to do battle on a fast, multi groove 1.5 mile tri oval. 12 cars were ready to get there poker faces on and see what they could do within the 88 lap race. Tires were a big key to the race, guys had to not over driver car off corner, or they found themselves eating concert. Winner, Wyatt Wolfe Jr took a gamble on the last restart to try and save an 8 extra laps of fuel. Gambled paid off, but Wyatt was recorded saying, I was nervous the final 5 laps, crossed the start finish line with .3 gallons of fuel. Gary McGuire made his 1st appearance in the Classic race cars and showed once again he is a wheel man. Gary grabbed the front row starting spot and that's where he stayed. Racked up the most laps lead. Wyatt Wolfe Sr got himself a 3rd place finish in the classic cars for the 2nd week in a row. He showed great patience and kept himself up front and clean. TJ Massick came home in 4th place, this driver is a driver to keep your eye on. He is learning fast and expect to see him in victory lane sometime this year. Rounding out the top 5 was Jason Pick. Another solid top 5 for Jason. He is the most consistent driver out on the circuit right now.
Next Week the Aero88 Classic race cars return in action for week number 3. Destination, the Famed Bristol Motor Speedway. |
